Gianpaolo Tucci ist ein multidisziplinärer Designer und Künstler, der in Italien geboren wurde und derzeit in Berlin lebt. 2007 machte er seinen Abschluss in Industrial design for fashion an der Architekturfakultät der La Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli und erhielt im Jahr darauf seinen Master in Interaction Design in Mailand an der Domus Academy.

Bei Nokia & HERE arbeitete er als Horizontal Design Principal im Design Leadership Team und war maßgeblich an der Definition und Umsetzung der .com-Strategie beteiligt. Als Spezialist kümmerte sich Gianpaolo um die horizontale Ausrichtung, Weiterentwicklung und Innovation der Produkte für das Mobility, Customer Experiences and Design Forward Innovation Team. Bei Google arbeitete er an der Überarbeitung der GDPR-Datenschutzbestimmungen für das neue Google-Konto auf Web- und Web-Mobile-Plattformen und beeinflusste die Definition von Material Design 2 Patterns für Web- und Web-Mobile-Plattformen.

Unlängst wurde er beim Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity mit einem Silbernen und einem Bronzenen Löwen für Auditorial ausgezeichnet, ein Projekt zum besseren digitalen Storytellings für Menschen mit Seheinschränkungen, realisiert bei R/GA London.

Neben anderen arbeitete er mit Siemens, eBay, Unilever, Moncler, Ferrari, Barilla, Zalando, Puma, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ducati und vielen anderen zusammen. Außerdem gründete und leitete Gianpaolo das Atelier About, eine Modemarke aus Berlin. Momentan arbeitet er mit Siemens Healthineers an Produktinnovationen im Bereich der medizinischen Versorgung zusammen.

Mit seiner Leidenschaft sowohl für Kunst als auch Technologie beschäftigt sich Gianpaolo damit, welches Potenzial künstliche Intelligenz und maschinelles Lernen haben, wenn sie bei Designprozessen und der kreativen Ideenfindung genutzt werden. Wie KI die Landschaft der Typografie verändern kann, steht im Fokus seines Projekts @Aesthetics_Imperfections. Das Buch zum Projekt – Aesthetics Imperfection – ist gerade bei Slanted Publishers erschienen.

At Google, he worked towards the revamping of the new Google account GDPR privacy regulation on web and web mobile platforms, influencing material design 2 pattern definition for web and web mobile platforms.

Recently, he has been awarded one Sliver Lion and one Bronze Lion at Cannes, the international festival of Creativity with Auditorial project done at R/GA London improving digital storytelling for Visually Impaired people.

Among the many, he worked together with Siemens, eBay, Unilever, Moncler, Ferrari, Barilla, Zalando, Puma, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ducati, and many more. Gianpaolo also, founded and directed Atelier About, a Berlin-based fashion brand. Currently, he is working together with Siemens Healthineers on different level of product innovation in the context of Medical Healthcare.

Combining his passion for both art and technology, Gianpaolo is also focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning potential as a possible game changer when applied to design processes and creative discovery. In particular, he is focusing on how AI can change the landscape of typography with his project @Aesthetics_Imperfections.
